If you are looking for affordable lots you’ll find that many are located in older parts of the city. In Northwest Albuquerque, the older sections of Paradise Hills that were built in the 1960′s and 1970′s have larger lots in general. Or if Rio Rancho suits you better you’ll also find larger and more affordable lots there as well.
New home builders usually have a few large lots in every subdivision, but frequently what you get is a strangely shaped and unuseable lot, not a nice big rectangular lot that gives you useable space. The good news is that the outrageous lot premiums that builders were charging back in 2005 are for the most part gone.
